Fill all nine squares with a player who fits both the row and the column. One guess per square, nine guesses, and no player twice. The rarer your pick, the more points it earns. Hitters and pitchers share one grid, with a new one every day, covering every player from 1871 through the 2026 season (Lahman database plus MLB's 2026 stats).

Players count for a team if they appeared for that franchise in this data, and for a season stat if they reached it in one season (a traded player's stints are added together). Points per square run from 1 to 100 and measure how few of the other valid answers had a longer career (plate appearances plus innings pitched). The grid for each day is the same for everyone.
